New Project!

A couple of quick renders of the futuristic fighter jet I'm making for our new project. Just past the halfway mark with the polygon budget and have a lot of work left to do!

For our first uni project we were tasked to build and texture a room. I chose to create a Victorian era mortuary. My initial plan was to make a derelict, modern day scene inspired by 'urban exploration' photographs but once I added the gas lamps into the scene I decided that I liked the lighting and opted to keep the actual Victorian setting.

Final renders:

Exterior daylighting

Night time interior lighting

Exterior evening lighting

Some work in progress shots:

I was having issues with the floor reflections on the left side of the screen which I could not find the cause of here.

Switching the renderer from Mental Ray to Nvidia Iray solved the reflection problems.

Palisades Toys Transformers

3D models I produced whilst freelancing for Palisades Toys between 2002 - 2005. I was contacted by the company who had seen a piece of fan art on the internet. The job I was given was to produce the models and poses based around the Dreamwave comic series which was running at the time. From these, Palisades produced a range of statues aimed at the collector market.

First post!!!!

First step on the road to the BA Game Art course. A render of a simple scene featuring a UV unwrapped and textured cardboard box. Rendered in 3ds Max using Mental Ray materials.
